Dr. Anita Abbott is a forward-thinking educator with a wealth of experience in higher education and vocational teaching. She has seamlessly transitioned between traditional face-to-face settings and the dynamic landscape of distance learning programs. Anita’s expertise spans a wide range of subjects, including politics, international relations, human rights, security issues, strategic partnerships, diplomacy, sovereignty, and transnationalism.
Anita earned her PhD in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of Waikato, showcasing her dedication to advancing knowledge in her field. She also holds a Master of Education (with distinction) from the University of Canterbury, as well as a master’s degree in International Relations and Human Rights from the University of Auckland. Her commitment to effective teaching is underscored by certificates in adult teaching, and teaching adults numeracy and literacy.
Anita’s research acumen has opened doors to various writing and editing roles. She serves as an associate editor for the International Journal of the Humanities, a reviewer for The University of London Educate Journal, and a guest writer for Oil Voice. Additionally, Anita has engaged in independent writing projects, contributing to her reputation as a versatile and accomplished scholar.
