Prof. Dr. Bridges La-Sondrick

La’Sondrick Bridges has a distinguished history of guiding students towards success, rooted in his early coaching experiences. His impactful influence on students expanded through his role as a mentor with CBM CARES National Organization (CBM), a nonprofit organization supported by the U.S. Department of Juvenile Justice and Justice Delinquency Prevention, dedicated to providing positive male role models to youth.

Taking on the role of Program Manager with CBM in 2011, La’Sondrick started the Columbia program from scratch, ultimately growing it to include over 200 mentors and support over 600 young males. La’Sondrick emphasizes that mentoring is founded on compassion and demonstrating unselfish concern for the welfare of others. He believes in looking beyond the backgrounds of the students and focusing on their potential, stating, “You have to look past where the kids come from and look at where they can go.” According to him, students want to be challenged, and, more importantly, they want to know that someone cares.

Beyond his mentorship endeavors, La’Sondrick has demonstrated strong business skills, regularly engaging in budget management, statistical analysis, and other concepts. These skills contributed to the continued success of his CBM program in Columbia, South Carolina, until 2016 when the government-funded grant program concluded.

With over 15 years of experience in education, including teaching, mentoring, and training, La’Sondrick currently serves as a high school business education teacher and a Lab instructor for E2020 online courses. His coaching experience spans 12 years in high school basketball and football.

La’Sondrick holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Rust College in Mississippi, a master’s degree in Business Administration from South University in South Carolina, and a Doctorate of Education from Argosy University in Georgia. Leveraging his extensive knowledge and diverse experiences, La’Sondrick Bridges is dedicated to helping young people realize their potential and achieve their goals.
