Jimerson Diont’e

Dr. Diont’e Jimerson, originally from Chicago, IL, is a versatile professional with a diverse educational background and extensive military service. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Administration from DeVry University in Chicago. Additionally, Dr. Jimerson completed several graduate-level human resources courses at DeVry. He later pursued an M.B.A. in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management and obtained a license for teacher education from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

In his military career, Dr. Jimerson enlisted in the United States Army as an Ammunition Specialist in 2000. While on active duty, he attended Airborne School in Fort Benning, GA, and served in the renowned 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He transitioned to the United States Air Force Reserves in 2008, stationed at Youngstown Air Force Reserve Base in Ohio, and currently serves in the Air Force National Guard in Illinois as a Personalist Specialist.

Dr. Jimerson’s journey in education began with teaching for charter schools, eventually leading him to roles such as a Special Education Teacher, Business Owner, Academic Advisor, and Computer Business Specialist Instructor at a continuing education center. He discovered a passion for working with adult learners and later focused on teaching college students majoring in business, education, and human resources. Currently, he serves as a Special Education Teacher/Case Manager at Barbara A. Sizemore Academy in Chicago, IL, teaching various classes, including Business, Human Resources, and Education.

Recognizing the importance of staying current in his areas of expertise, Dr. Jimerson actively attends conferences and engages in research with the aim of publishing articles and writing books. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and learning new languages. Dr. Diont’e Jimerson’s diverse experiences showcase his commitment to education, military service, and ongoing professional development.
