Francess Monago was called to the Nigerian Bar in January 2012, obtaining admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She graduated from the Nigerian Law School with Second Class Upper-division honors. Her legal education began at the University of Abuja, where she pursued a degree in Law, earning the equivalent of a United States Juris Doctor (JD) with Second Class Upper-division.
After completing her legal studies, Francess embarked on her professional journey by joining the Department of Public Prosecution at the Ministry of Justice in Port-Harcourt, River State, Nigeria. In this role, she served as a public prosecutor for a year, gaining valuable experience in criminal law.
Subsequently, Francess joined Kola Awodein & Co, a prominent law firm specializing in dispute resolution and comprehensive commercial law services in Nigeria. Her responsibilities at the firm included active involvement in Corporate Law practice, Litigation, Commercial matters, and providing legal advisory services.
In early 2020, Francess transitioned her career path by joining Charisma University as a lecturer. In this role, she contributes her legal expertise to the academic environment, sharing her knowledge with students. Francess is a proud member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the African Women Lawyers Association, demonstrating her commitment to professional engagement and advancement within the legal community.
