With an impressive career spanning 28 years, Dr. Walaa Saeed brings a wealth of experience in online college teaching, professional development, executive coaching, and the management of intricate, multi-million dollar construction projects worldwide. His portfolio includes overseeing projects ranging from 5-star hotels, residential towers, commercial towers, mixed-use developments, airports, to PPP institutional projects in Canada, Dubai, and Qatar.

As a case study author, Dr. Saeed’s distinctive approach to case-based teaching and evaluation has proven highly effective in immersing students and trainees in real-life business scenarios, shaping them into adept business leaders and decision-makers in today’s dynamic and ever-evolving business environment. Specializing in managing complex businesses under uncertainty and complexities, he has successfully navigated challenges such as market downturns, financial crises, and unplanned lockdowns.

His PhD dissertation, titled “Creating Value under Uncertainty and Complexities: The Integrated Dynamic Agile and Lean Construction Project Management,” has been pivotal in establishing and publishing a grounded theory. Dr. Saeed designed and tested a practical agile-lean project management model, offering valuable insights for construction organizations and project managers in creating value amidst uncertainty and complexities.

Dr. Saeed earned his Doctor of Business Administration degree (Summa Cum Laude) from California Southern University, USA. His educational background also includes an MBA and a Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of Wales, Cardiff, United Kingdom. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a Licensed Professional Engineer, registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, Canada.

In his teaching career, Dr. Saeed has imparted knowledge in various business management courses, covering global supply chain, international business management, project management, marketing management, strategic management, business research methods, qualitative research methods, stakeholder management, and competing-value leadership. He is set to publish his upcoming book titled “Instruments for Productivity Management and Improvement,” further contributing to the field with his expertise and insights.
