Stojanovic Robert

Dr. Robert Stojanovic is an Adjunct Faculty at Collin Community College in Frisco, Texas, a position he has held since January 2015. With a career spanning 15 years, he is an accomplished accounting and finance professional, having assumed various leadership and management roles across diverse industries.

Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia, on January 26, 1971, Dr. Stojanovic completed his high school education in technology. He then moved to Germany and, in 1998, relocated to the USA. Despite the challenges of adapting to a new country, he quickly learned English, enrolled in college, and began working towards his business degree.

In 2007, Dr. Stojanovic became a U.S. citizen and completed bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and Financial Management at National American University. His commitment to education continued, and he earned an MBA and master’s degrees in Management from the same institution in 2010.

Driven by a desire for further academic achievements, Dr. Stojanovic embarked on a Ph.D. in Business Administration with Capella University in 2011. However, due to increased professional responsibilities, he temporarily postponed his educational goals to focus on career development.

While working as Adjunct Faculty at Collin College since 2015, teaching accounting and financial management for hospitality managers, Dr. Stojanovic resumed his doctoral journey with Colorado Technical University. In May 2018, he successfully earned his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree. Shortly thereafter, he received a new employment offer as a corporate controller for multiple organizations, with the opportunity to become CFO within the next twelve months.

Dr. Stojanovic’s contributions extend beyond the professional realm. In April 2018, he published qualitative research on emotional intelligence, exploring how hotel managers utilize emotional intelligence skills to lead their front-line staff. In his free time, Dr. Stojanovic volunteers as a mentor at Collin College, providing guidance to young students dealing with new responsibilities and time management challenges. He also cherishes family activities, spending time with friends and coworkers in various after-work activities, and caring for two cats he rescued fourteen years ago.
