Summers Julie

Dr. Julie Summers brings over 20 years of experience to her role as a college instructor, specializing in Communication, Writing, and Business courses. Alongside her teaching responsibilities, she engages with clients on marketing initiatives, showcasing her practical expertise in the field. Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Summers held the position of Assistant Vice President in Marketing and Communications at Wells Fargo.

Her educational journey includes a Ph.D. in Organizational Learning and Human Resource Development from Iowa State University, a Specialist Degree in Adult Education/Training and Development from Drake University, a Master’s in Advertising from Northwestern, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa.

Dr. Summers is passionate about teaching, finding joy in the continuous learning experience each class provides. Her dynamic teaching approach allows her to stay current with news and events, offering fresh perspectives daily. Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Summers dedicates time to her family, including her five dogs. She maintains an active lifestyle through regular interval training, running, swimming, or biking. With a commitment to positivity, she aims to bring a smile to each day.
