Prof. Dr. Wade Anne

Dr. Anne Wade is a remarkably accomplished individual with a multifaceted educational background and a deep passion for teaching and criminal justice. She holds a BA in History, a BA in Psychology, an MS in Educational Leadership, an MS in Criminal Justice, an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Public Safety Leadership/Criminal Justice.

Dr. Wade’s professional journey has been dual-focused, centering on her love for the art of teaching and her commitment to the field of Criminal Justice. With a wealth of experience as a Criminologist and training as a Forensic Investigator, she has been actively involved in teaching Criminal Justice since 1989. Before entering academia, Dr. Wade served as a juvenile detention officer and a law clerk. Additionally, she spent six years working as a Bail Bond Agent, balancing fugitive recovery responsibilities at night and on weekends while teaching Criminal Justice during the day.

For the past 15 years, Dr. Wade has been teaching both online and seated classes, sharing her knowledge with students from universities around the world. Her unique background and experiences in criminal justice contribute to the richness of her teaching.

Outside the academic realm, Dr. Wade is an artist and business owner. She engages in various creative pursuits, including painting, fiber and glass arts, and pottery. Her love for the creative process extends to her approach in designing and delivering courses. Married to a travel nurse specializing in trauma, Dr. Wade is a proud mother and grandmother. Her family, including a daughter and her police officer husband with their two children, shares her home, creating a joyful and lively environment. Dr. Wade also has a Jack Russell dog named Sparkle, two German Shepherds named Ruger and Hershee, two cats, and eight ducks/chickens.

Her life philosophy centers on encouraging others to follow their dreams through education, embodying her commitment to lifelong learning and the pursuit of knowledge. Dr. Anne Wade is a true example of passion, diversity, and dedication in both education and life.
